Adult Birthday Ideas: 30ths, 40ths and Beyond in VR

Turning 30, 40 or 50 and tired of the same dinner out? A VR birthday at Another World VR gets your friends off their phones and on their feet, playing together in the same room. We're in Aldergrove, in the Township of Langley, at 3078 275 St.

Pick the game that fits your crew

• Friends who like a scare: start with a mild one like Manor of Escape or Safe Night Classic, or jump to Alien Infection if your group wants the deep end. See all six on our VR horror games page.

How the 2 hours go

• 15 minutes of setup and safety. Our staff fit the headsets and walk everyone through it.
• 75 minutes of free-roam VR. No wires: you walk around a real room while the game world moves with you.
• 30 minutes in your private lounge. Time for cake, food and the stories about who screamed first.

Food is easy

Bring your own food, with no outside-food fee. Every party also gets 1 free pizza for every 4 players (cheese or pepperoni). Drinks and cake are sold separately.

Party prices

Per person at our regular rates, plus a $100 party fee and tax.

• Mon–Thu: adults (14+) $44.99, students and kids 13 and under $29.99
• Fri–Sun and stat holidays: adults (14+) $49.99, students and kids 13 and under $39.99
• A $50 deposit holds your party. It goes toward your bill and is credited if you reschedule, but it isn't refunded if you cancel.
